HOUSTON - "I didn't believe it."

You can't blame Isha Desselle for being skeptical when the call offering help first came in.

She's worked hard for everything. She has sacrificed much along the way to build her non-profit center caring for seniors in need.

Then someone stole 5 new air conditioning units from the Turning Point.

"Sometimes many people are coming to give us a price of what it will cost and that's what I thought it was at first and when they actually came today, I was like wow, there are angels." describes Desselle.

Monty Weeks of Weeks Service Company was just one of the people watching FOX 26 News last night.

He and several workers saw the story.

"It was the buzz around the shop this morning."

They didn't waste anytime. Wednesday morning they contacted the original installer, and got the permits. By Wednesday afternoon, the company rolled out 5 new AC units and brought 6 men to install them.
Desselle couldn't believe it.

"They just dropped everything and came to help."

Inside the thermostat showed 84 degrees. Add the humidity and it would be uncomfortable for anybody. It actually felt cooler outside but that won't last long in the Houston heat.

If the Turning Point didn't get help, it could have been dangerous.

"You can't put somebody who is elderly in a place like this and they're sitting there sweating when they might have congestive heart failure or many medical issues."

Whoever stole the 5 units expended a lot of effort. The reality is they will likely not be caught.

Weeks says, "They cut fences. They cut bamboo. They went through a backyard. They went to a tremendous amount of trouble to steal these units."

To replace just the units would have been tens of thousands of dollars. Weeks Service Company is donating everything, including labor. Why?

Their reward is simple says Weeks.

"All of my guys have a great deal of pride in their work. Satisfaction is one of those things when you're done with it there is cold air coming out of the vents and the people are happy. It's a very satisfying job."

As for Desselle who has experienced the worst and the best in her fellow man?

"I'd like to hug them all and say thank you very much. What they do actually makes a difference to a lot of people."
